NAPW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
INSIDE THE HALLOWE’EN HOUSE OF HORRORS STEEL CAGE
Donovan Astros © vs “The Falcon” Jacob Venar vs “The Star-Spangled Sensation” Steve Parker vs “The Last Word” Jay O’Brien vs “The Brutul Basterd” Massacre
2010 has been a banner year for Donovan Astros. Coming off a fantastic Heritage Championship run on the first half of the calendar, Astros then went on to be one of the most important figures in the fight against the previous regime, winning both the World title and, ultimately, the fate of NAPW in one memorable match. “The Greatest Wrestler on God’s Green Earth” is on a new quest – become the final NAPW World Champion. Astros faced his toughest challenge so far in Japan, narrowly retaining the title against a determined Tommy Deathrow. At ANNIVERSARY ASSAULT, Astros will defend the title against not one challenger, but four… and it will take place inside the brutal Hallowe’en House of Horrors Steel Cage.
NAPW fans well remember the rules – when a wrestler is eliminated from the match by pinfall or submission, he will then be handcuffed to the steel. The winner of the contest will receive five minutes alone with his shackled opponents, to do with was he will. The Falcon, Steve Parker are all former world champions, men Astros has battled many times in 2010. The wildcard is “The Last Word” Jay O’Brien, who has racked up win after win against big names in NAPW and believes he is the uncrowned World Champion. There is no telling what will happen when the House of Horrors returns… to Edmonton!
WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
The Dudes © vs Sexy Adorable Drunks
The Dudes return to NAPW after a long layoff has proven more than successful. The team at last has claimed the Tag Team titles for the second time, and successfully defended the titles against the stiff challenge of Dan Ryan & Lloyd Rees in Japan. But now, The Dudes must face one of the greatest NAPW tag teams of all… Krusty Kid Paul and Tommy Deathrow, the Sexy Adorable Drunks. Will The Dudes be able to overcome and adapt to the wild, Superstar Rules brawl that is an SAD tag team match? The SAD held the titles once in 2010, they’d love to do it again and further stake their claim as ‘best tag team of all TIME.’ The Dudes have one advantage, however — earlier in the evening SAD and KKP will wrestle EACH OTHER for Paul’s Heritage title!
CANADIAN HERITAGE CHAMPIONSHIP
Krusty Kid Paul © vs Tommy Deathrow
As Lethal Lottery proved, the only thing KKP and STD like more than beating up everybody else, is beating each other up! The brothers from eight different mothers will tangle for KKP’s newly won Canadian Heritage title. The win gave KKP the elusive NAPW Triple Crown. 2010 Battlebowl winner Tommy Deathrow is known as a tag team specialist, a four-time champion with three different partners, but make no mistake, STD would love to hold NAPW singles gold before time runs out. No doubt it will be a hardcore, hard-fought fight when “The Showstoppa” and “The Superstar” collide one-on-one for the first time in years. Sure, they have a tag team title match later in the night, but we all know when you’re Sexy, Adorable and Drunk you can go all night long!
WORLD TV CHAMPIONSHIP
“White Chocolate” Tiffany MacIntyre © vs “The Last Resort” Ravager
“White Chocolate” shocked the world by defeating Chris Casino for the World TV Championship in Osaka! The three-time women’s champion and certainly NAPW’s most popular female personality to date simply wants to compete on the final cards, even if she must do so against bigger, stronger, more experienced men. But sweet sassyfrass, she’s no jive turkey! “White Chocolate” now puts her newly won title on the line… against a man who helped mentor and train her. Ravager is no stranger to his former manager/protege, but as we all know when it comes to “The Last Resort”, business is business. And with a shot at the NAPW Triple Crown on the line for the “White Collar Assassin”, you can bet Ravager will bring new meaning to the term “gender equality.” Can you dig it?
FIRST TIME EVER
Chris Casino vs Stylin’ Kyle Roberts
Two of the cockiest, most arrogant, most chauvinistic, biggest… JERKS NAPW has ever seen. And two of its biggest stars, as well, and fan favorites. Chris Casino and Stylin’ Kyle Roberts have a long history, as allies and tag team opponents, but they have NEVER squared off one-on-one. It will be a first-time ever dream match when “The Living Legend” takes on “The Man with the Blood On His Hands” in Edmonton. The prize? The biggest ego of them all.
ONE on ONE
“The Show” Chad Kurtis vs “The Ego Buster” Dan Ryan
Dan Ryan is a worldwide wrestling star. He’s beaten the best of the best on every continent, and in NAPW he’s a multiple time champion. And yet, there is one man who somehow, someway, always manages to get the better of “The Ego Buster,” and that’s NAPW’s most popular wrestler, “The Show” Chad Kurtis. In many encounters, Dan Ryan has never beaten “The Last Action! Hero”. We all know about the resiliency and will that powers the Kentucky Wildcat. Will he able to remain unbeaten against Dan Ryan in New Alberta Pro? Or will Kurtis, distracted by a mysterious attack in Japan, finally be taught some “humility” from the legend?
GRUDGE MATCH
“The Nexus One” Rex Caliber vs The Black Beast
Another first-time-ever singles match-up, but this one is not just a dream match — it’s deadly personal. Rex Caliber has been rattling the cage of The Black Beast ever since he returned to NAPW a few months ago. Caliber is on a mission to bring “Bruce” back from within the “Beast.” But “The Nexus One” may have bitten off more than he can chew, because he’s only made the Beast angrier, more violent and more out of control than ever. Rex Caliber vs The Black Beast, five years in the making… but will either man survive the experience, or will ANNIVERSARY ASSAULT prove to be their final stand?
FIRST TIME EVER
O’Connor Boys vs Royal Foundation
Thomas Young and Prince Darko have feuded for months, former partners and childhood best friends turned enemies. That all changed when they were given the opportunity to settle their issues in the ring. Unfortunately for NAPW, and the O’Connor Boys, that resolution led to a reunited Royal Foundation — one that’s more dangerous than ever! The Foundation would love nothing more than to win the Tag Team titles which have eluded them for so long, but first, they must get through three-time champions Sean & Seamus, the lightning-quick twin tandem of the O’Connor Boys! And after The Royal Foundation attempted to make a statement with a savage post-match attack on the OCB in Osaka, the O’Connors are going to be looking for revenge, Boston-style!
ONE on ONE
“Da Technical Terror” Lloyd Rees vs Danny Chaos
It will be a battle of submission experts when Lloyd Rees and Danny Chaos square off at ANNIVERSARY ASSAULT! Conception Bay Chinlock vs the Edge of Chaos. It could be one of the finest technical wrestling matches witnessed in NAPW as these two square off with pride on the line! Though it may not be a ‘submission’ match, you can bet both Rees and Chaos will be looking to make their opponent TAP… or SNAP!
